KARA ARMSTRONG

Currently a Senior Designer at an Outdoor retail company based in Maine.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Design from the College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning at the University of Cincinnati. During my 5 year co-op program, I participated in over 3 internships ranging from lingerie and ready to wear to menswear. I also had the opportunity to take a solo 2 month backpacking trip across Europe to collect design research and inspiration for my senior capstone titled, No Bad Days. Upon my graduation in 2017, I was recruited into a competitive Design Academy within a performance company in the Bay Area and proceeded to grow my technical expertise through over 5 years. Since, I have made the transition to a Senior Designer with an Outdoor Retailer based in Freeport, Maine. I am the Design Lead over Women’s Active, Swim, Core Dresses and Sleep.

I am actively seeking a Senior Designer or Director position in my next role.
